How it works
MATE-XT GO is a fully passive shoulder exoskeleton — no motors, no batteries. A spring-based mechanism stores and releases energy following the arm’s natural movement. The human shoulder flexion-extension axis is aligned with that of the exoskeleton, ensuring physiological movement and full operational freedom. Eight resistance levels can be adjusted by the worker without removing the device. Support is progressive and follows the shoulder’s natural angle throughout the task.
Suited for these tasks
Overhead assembly
Underbody assembly, finishing, and overhead tool handling in manufacturing environments.
Construction & trades
Drywall installation, painting, and electrical cabling requiring sustained arm elevation.
High-rack logistics
High-rack picking and sorting with repetitive arm movements above shoulder level.
Agriculture
Fruit picking and overhead pruning involving prolonged elevated arm postures.
FAQ
Does MATE-XT GO weaken shoulder muscles over time?
No. The device reduces excessive muscle load without providing full support, so muscles continue to work naturally. There is no evidence of muscle tone deterioration with regular use.
Can the assistance level be adjusted without removing the device?
Yes. The worker can independently set one of eight resistance levels at any time during the shift — without taking off the exoskeleton.
Does MATE-XT GO restrict freedom of movement?
No. Thanks to a chain of passive degrees of freedom, the shoulder axis of the exoskeleton is aligned with the human shoulder, ensuring full operational freedom in all directions.
Is MATE-XT GO suitable for outdoor use?
Yes. It is water, dust, and UV resistant (IP65), making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor environments.
What maintenance does MATE-XT GO require?
Minimal. Textile parts are removable, washable and reusable. Mechanical components require only periodic cleaning.
Is MATE-XT GO certified?
Yes — EU PPE Regulation 2016/425 (Cat. II) and EU Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC. Certified by TÜV Rheinland and ANCCO.
