How it works
HAPO Front is a fully passive shoulder and elbow exoskeleton — no motors, no batteries. Composite spring rods transfer part of the weight of the arms to the lower back, reducing the effort needed to hold and control the arms in a forward position. Support is continuous across all shoulder angles from 0° to 135° in height and up to 180° horizontally. Two support levels are available — blue springs (up to 4 kg total) or yellow springs (up to 6 kg total) — selectable based on task intensity. The device can be worn over or under workwear and adapts to all body types through adjustable harness and arm components.

FAQ
What tasks is HAPO Front designed for?
Tasks requiring repetitive or prolonged arm positions in front of the body between 0° and 135° — tool handling, assembly work, conveyor operations, surgical procedures, and any mid-height forward arm posture.
What is the difference between HAPO Front and HAPO Up?
HAPO Front supports arms extended in front of the body (0°–135°). HAPO Up supports arms raised overhead (60°–180°). They share the same harness and belt system, making them modular and compatible.
Can the support level be adjusted?
Yes. Two spring options are available — blue springs for up to 4 kg total support, yellow springs for up to 6 kg. The level is selected based on task intensity and user preference.
Does HAPO Front affect precision or tool control?
No. Laboratory tests confirmed no loss of precision in movements and no negative effects on main postural muscles. Reduced fatigue can improve consistency during prolonged tasks.
Can it be worn over or under workwear?
Yes. HAPO Front is versatile — it can be worn over work clothes or under a blouse or coat depending on the work environment requirements.
Who should not use HAPO Front?
Workers with existing shoulder, elbow, or musculoskeletal conditions should consult a medical professional before use.
