How it works

LiftSuit 2 is a fully passive textile exoskeleton — no motors, no batteries. Two mechanisms work together: elastic elements along the back and hips act as artificial muscles, reducing load on the user’s muscles during forward leaning. During lifting, the suit stores energy as the worker bends down and returns it when straightening back up, making each repetition less exhausting. Support can be activated, deactivated or adjusted by the worker at any time.

Suited for these tasks

Logistics

Picking, palletizing, loading and unloading boxes, and working in racks during full shifts.

Construction

Laying tiles, floor work, and other jobs requiring kneeling or leaning forward for extended periods.

Manufacturing

Repetitive lifting of components, machine feeding, and line-side material handling with forward-leaning posture.

Agriculture

Field work, harvesting, and sorting tasks involving continuous forward-leaning and load handling.

FAQ

Tasks involving frequent lifting or forward-leaning that strain the back or hips — manual handling, picking, packing, assembly, and low-position lifting where conventional aids are impractical.

Even very light loads or bodyweight alone justify use. The upper body accounts for around 60% of total body weight — the LiftSuit supports that load every time the worker leans forward.

At least 30 lifting movements per hour, or at least 5 minutes of forward-leaning posture per hour.

After initial fitting, under one minute — most users report 20–30 seconds for donning or doffing.

Monthly visual inspection of textiles, buckles, and elastic elements. Textile components are machine-washable. Elastic energy storage elements should be replaced after a maximum of one year or 150,000 lifting cycles.

People with existing back, hip, or musculoskeletal conditions should consult a medical professional before use. Only healthy adults trained in its use may wear the device.
