How it works
OmniSuit is a fully passive multitask exoskeleton — no motors, no batteries. Two integrated modules work independently: the shoulder module provides support when arms are elevated at or above shoulder level, reducing neck and shoulder muscle load; the back module activates during forward leaning and lifting below hip level, storing and returning energy to reduce back and hip effort. Both modules use elastic energy storage elements. Shoulder support activates automatically when arm cuffs are worn. Back support is activated and deactivated manually by the worker. Two shoulder support levels are selectable, and back support intensity can be fine-tuned to match the task.
Suited for these tasks
Logistics
Picking and handling across different shelf heights — mixed lifting and overhead reaches in the same workflow.
Manufacturing
Overhead assembly, machine feeding and line-side material handling with frequent posture changes.
Construction
Installation and fastening tasks combining lifting, forward leaning and overhead work in the same process.
Agriculture
Forward-leaning load handling combined with intermittent overhead movements during field and harvest work.
FAQ
What makes OmniSuit different from LiftSuit or DeltaSuit?
OmniSuit combines both modules in one device — back support for lifting and forward leaning, and shoulder support for overhead work. LiftSuit covers only back and hip, DeltaSuit only shoulders. OmniSuit is the right choice when both posture types occur in the same workflow.
Can both support modules be used simultaneously?
Yes. Both modules can be active at the same time, providing combined back and shoulder support during tasks that involve lifting from floor level up to overhead positions.
Can the back support be deactivated independently?
Yes. The back support module is activated and deactivated manually by the worker. The shoulder support activates automatically when the arm cuffs are worn and can be stored behind the back when not needed.
How are the support levels adjusted?
Shoulder support has two selectable levels adjusted before putting on the device. Back support intensity can be fine-tuned manually while wearing the OmniSuit.
What maintenance does OmniSuit require?
Monthly visual inspection of all components. Textile parts are machine-washable at 30°C. Back elastic energy storage elements should be replaced after one year or 150,000 cycles.
Who should not use OmniSuit?
People with existing back, shoulder, neck, or other musculoskeletal conditions should consult a medical professional before use. Only healthy adults trained in its use may wear the device.
