How it works
ExoIQ S700 is an active pneumatic shoulder exoskeleton — powered by a built-in mini compressor and compatible Festool 18V battery packs. Pneumatic actuators generate up to 15 kg of assistance force (7.5 kg per arm), reducing shoulder and neck muscle load during overhead and chest-height tasks. The assistance level is individually adjustable via 4 preset slots, with additional presets configurable via the exoIQ ergonomics app. A pause mode allows the assistance to be suspended instantly for side tasks without removing the device. The backpack-style harness allows donning and doffing in seconds without tools.

Why does S700 use pneumatics instead of electric motors?
Pneumatic actuation provides a more natural, organic feel than electric motors — less static and more responsive. The pneumatic actuators are also more compact and lightweight than electric alternatives at equivalent assistance levels.
How is the assistance level adjusted?
The device stores up to 4 preset configurations directly on the exoskeleton. Additional presets can be programmed and transferred via the free exoIQ ergonomics app for iOS and Android.
What battery does S700 use?
S700 is compatible with nearly all Festool 18V system battery packs. With a 4.0 Ah battery, the device provides up to 6 hours of use depending on task intensity. Two battery packs are included.
How quickly can S700 be put on and taken off?
The backpack-style harness system allows donning and doffing within seconds. Tool-free size adjustment makes it suitable for multiple users on the same shift.
Is S700 suitable for people with pacemakers?
No. As an active device, S700 generates electromagnetic fields that could interfere with pacemakers. Use is not recommended for pacemaker wearers.
